Guadalupe River State Park

Guadalupe River State Park, run by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, has two bird blinds with very different access.
Woodland blind: some access
The park lists a short crushed granite path to the Woodland blind. Accessible parking and restrooms are in the day-use area.
Savannah blind: hard access
The Savannah blind has no crushed granite path. You reach it from the Persimmon Path or the Painted Bunting Trail. The park describes the Persimmon Path as a short, rocky trail.
Good to know
- The park has an all-terrain wheelchair visitors can use. Contact the park ahead of time to ask about it.
- The park says its trails and campsites aren't accessible overall, and the walk down to the river is steep.
- Entry: $7 a day for adults; kids 12 and under get in free. The park is open daily, and the gate is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fees and hours can change, so check the park's page before you go.
- The park often fills up, so reserving a day pass ahead of time is a good idea.
